LONDON, 26th October

The Duke of York laid the foundation stone to-day of the Royal Naval Hospital School at Holbrook. The site of eight hundred acres, together with the money for erecting the building, is the gift of an Auckland resident, Mr G. S. Reade. Speaking at the luncheon, the Hon. W. C. Bridgeman, First Lord of the Admiralty, paid a tribute to Mr Reade’s love of the Empire. Ilis laudable generosity will insure the efficiency of the Navv.

The, buildings are being erected in the form of a model village, and will take four years to complete. When finished they will accommodate eleven hundred bovs.
