A BUTCHER SHOT

(Received 27th October, 11 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. The police obtained a statement from Thomas Smith, who was arrested at Dwellingup, following the death of a butcher named Ibbott. Smith states that owing to his employer Ibbott’s refusal to pay wages a dispute occurred. Ibbott attempted to reach for a rifle, when Smith snatched another rifle and shot him in self-defence.
