SENDER FINED £2O (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 26th October. Indecent letters sent through the post to an employee of a drapery firm were traced through identification of the letter paper used by employees of the Auckland Harbour Board to a harbour gate-keeper named T. Griffin, who admitted tlie offence in the Police Court. Griffin and the complainant had been neighbours, and there had been dispute between them over water on a section. Mr Hunt, S.M., said they* were horrible letters. “Griffin,” he added, “wants a good hiding. That s what he deserves. But for the fact that Griffin is a married man I would send bin’ to gaol. He will be fined £«2O, in default three months’ imprisonment.”
