RESULTS OF FRENCH INTERCLUB BAN

PARIS, sth October.

The Tennis Federation's ban on in-ter-club tennis is upsetting the schedule of the Riviera Tennis Club's meeting at Mpnte v Carlo. It decided that the Monaco tournament would be carried out on the old courts instead of the new ones which are situated in French territory. Other clubs are sending letters to. the Federation pointing put that losses amounting to thousands of pounds are involved by the prohibition of matches. Failing a favourable reply, they will appeal to the Government on the ground that they regularly paid their taxes for three years. If not settled satisfactorily the tournaments will be played in Italy.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Owing to heavy rain the tennis match England v. South Island has been postponed. The players will now stay in Christchurch till Monday. The courts at Wilding Park are flooded.
