AT PORTUMNA CASTLE

Accompanied by Father Joyce, Catholic Vicar-General, Princess Mary and Viscount Lascelles toured Portumna. They were acclaimed by residents within a hundred miles radius. They met John Wallace, whose family has served the estate for three generations. Wallace was dismissed, although acquitted, after shots were fired, as an agent during the disturbances. Viscount Lascelles promised Wallace a pension. He intends to rebuild Portumna Castle for his elder son.
