WAKEFIELD
j ANNUAL BAND BALL , 1 The annual bull of the'‘Wakefield Band was held in tho Oddfellows’ Hall. The .night was ideal for dancing and the hall-was soon packed with, people from .fat- and near. The music was supplied by Fir C. Lee’s orchestra from Nelson and was greatly appreciated. The ball was .prettily, decorated with green and gold. Green streamers covered the ceiling. Mimosa sprinkled around the greenery around the walls matched the paper decorations. The novelty spot waltz and Monte Carlo were danced during the livening and the winners were presented with suitable prizes. A splendid supper was provided and the committee is to bo congratulated. The gross receipts were almost a. record for Hie ball, so tho Band should benefit considerably by the success of the event.
