At Chicago a year ago Constance Argyle, a graceful trapeze performer, reached for a rope and grasped a handful, of air. When picked, up forty feet below, surgeons found .that she (had broken both wrists, her-collarbone, jaw, and one leg, besides .wliieK her ankles were dislocated and she had internal injuries. “I haven’t a scar to show what happened,”' declared Constance on resuming her work to-day.
