CASE AGAINST ARNOT United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, 7th . August. The Magistrate reserved his decision in the case against Arnot. He declared lie must accept the certificate of exemption granted to Arriot in consequence of the evidence, he gave in the. case against Maling who was : charged with corruptly receiving £10,600 from Badcock and Wilcox Limited, Arnot’s principals. A stay of proceedings was therefore granted in the case against Arnot, who was charged with being privy to certain acts in connection with the payment of the above mentioned sum, though this was opposed by the Crown on the grounds that the' proceedings were commenced before Arnot gave evidence against Mabng-
