NEW YORK, 22nd July. The United States is growing rapidly in population and divorce, but is standing still' in' marriages, according to figures issued' by the census office. Divorces grew by 6 per cent, during 1927 pver the previous year. Many more persons are being married in Nevada and Arizona, indicating that many Californians jump into their mot-or-cars and visit these neighbouring States far quick matrimony, rather than await the three days' notice required under the new California law.
