ESCAPED PRISONER’S FIGHT WITH POLICE
Arij ' BERLIN, 24th July. , Wild, excitement reigned for several hoqrs to-day, when the police besieged a. flat in, ; which Albert Flattau, an escaped,,•prisoner,., who had attempted to ; shoot., his, . divorced . wife and her lover, had barricaded- himself. f .For two hours,:;fusillades were, exchanged, until Flattau, wounded, ~ finally dropped to the ground., Flattau had visited .the flat and fired three revolver shots at his, former wife, but none of them hit her. He then fought-with her protector, . whom he wounded.
