Fat sheep.—An exceptionally heavy yarding, about 40 per cent, moro than normal. The demand opened irregularly and weaker, but tinned up well over (ho final half. Next week is a doublo market prior to (he national race holidiiy, and butchers competed ahead of requirements in case of a shortage. Extra prime wethers made to 495, a few special 53s to 58s 3d, prime heavy wethers 43s to 465, prime medium-weight wethers 39s to 42s 6d, medium wethers 34s to 38s, light wethers 29s to 335; extra prime- ewes to 44s 7d, prime ewes 35s to 395, medium owes 30s to 345, light ewes 26s to 295, aged ewes 23s to 255; primo hoggets to 425, ordinary hoggets 31s to 365, light hoggets 27s to 30s. Fat cattle.—Five hundred and twentyfive penned, a good showing of prime steers and cows being included. It was a slack sale at the opening, but it hardened appreciably, and values were en a par to better than last week. Fat pigs.—Both porkers and bacouers wero slightly easier. Choppers madei £2 to £7 18s 6d, bacouers £3 7s to £4 12s, extra heavy to £5 6s (average price per lb, 6d to 6§d); porkers 42s to 65s (average por lb, 7£d to B£d).
