BOROUGH COUNCIL PROTEST

Following upon the notification trom the Palmrrston North Hospital Board of increased levies for the coining year, also estimates of capital expenditure, including a new two-storey block ot buildings, (he P.oiough Council last evening passed a resolution requesting the Government to appoint an independent commission to inquire into the whole matter of expenditure, the Council considering it unnecessary. As a preliminarv steo it decided to ai range for a deputation to meet the lion. J. A. Voting. Minister of Health, when he visits Ralmerston North on .Monday next, and place the Councils views before him.
