REPLY TO CRITICISM United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Australian Press Association (Received 1-lth April, P-.lfi a.m.) VANCOUVER, l.'ith April. In denouncing certain Canadian publie men for criticising the Australian Treaty, the chairman. Mr Tomlin. at the annual meeting of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Manufacturers' Association, said that the association favoured the pact as well as negotiations for similar treaties in other parts of the Empire, wherever possible. He declared: "There must be a spirit of give and take if Empire trade is to be built up."
