PROMOTIONS AND RETIREMENTS

Sir Frederick Field has been promoted to Admiral, and takes over the command of the .Mediterranean Fleet. Rear-Admiral Hall-Thompson has been promoted to Vice-Admiral. Captain Cordon Campbell has been promoted lo Rear-Admiral. Admirals Sir Fremantle and Campbell have been placed on the retired list.
Captain Snlivan, of the Renown, has been promoted to Rear-Admiral and placed on the retired list.
