WEDDING

PLUM—COX In ihe Church of Christ. Waimea street, on the 4tli April. Francis Henry, eldest son of Mr and Mrs F. Plum, of Grove street, was married to Itona Beatrice, onlv daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfred Cox. Waimea street. The. Rev. 11. J. Ralph officiated. Miss Kirby presided at the organ. As the bridal parly entered the Church the hymn "Oh Love of God. How Strong and True" was sung by the large congregation. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in iw.Q' duchess satin and silver lace: her tulle veil was arranged on a coronet of orange blossoms; and she tarried a beautiful shower bouquet of white begonias, maiden hair fern, and tulle streamers. The bridesmaids were Miss Bertha Josephson. dressed in shell pink georgette over pink silk and bat to match, and carried a, bouquet of pink begonias; Miss Edna More..lll wore blue crepe tie chine and hat to match and carried a bouquet of blue sweet peas. Both bridesmaids wore gold armlets, [he gift of the bridgegroom. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Leslie as best man. and Mi Ervin Peeves as groomsman Many handsome and useful presents were received, including a numboi of cheques. The biiile's motbei wore a ibess of rose repp with hat to match and carried a. bouquet of rose begonias: and the mother of ihe bridegroom wore black -■ilk. After the ceremony the bride's mother received a large number of guests at the Yelma Hall, where the usual toasts were honoured.
