ALLEGATIONS AO A INST UKRAINE POLICE

LONDON. 10th April. The Riga, correspondent reports that thes uprerne tribunal of the Ukraine lias begun the trial of six of the highest police officials and of a number of the. rank and file in the town of Chugnieff, itt the Donptz region, for alleged torture of prisoners, slow strangulation, and the pulling out of hair. The police chief, it is alleged, personally participated. It is also alleged that they terrorised Cimguieff's population of 15.000, instead of protecting them.
