In the Supreme Court Christian Harton, former secretary of the To Kuiti Racing Club, admitted misappropriating £232 of the club's funds, and was sentenced to two years' reformative detention; Robert Leonard Pickworth, forgery at Thames, three years' reformative detention ; Maurice Chapman, who admitted forging a cheque for £IOO, twelve months' hard labour; Francis William Sweetman, aged 28, for bigamy, two years' hard labour; Myra McKernan, a married woman, for obtaining money by false pretences at Whangarei, three years' probation, conditional on £4O being repaid by instalments; Edward Russell Everett, for theft, forgery and attempted uttering, probation for one year.
