LOYAL TAKAKA LODGE, M.U.1.0.0.F.
OFFICIAL' visit
Last week the Grand Master Bro. A. Canton and District .Secretary, Bro. S. B. Canavan, of the Motueka District Independent Order of Oddfellows Manchester Unity, paid an official visit to the Loyal Takaka Lodge. They were accompanied by P.D.G.M* Bro. J. Boyce of the Motueka Lodge. A good number of the Lodge members were present. After the visitors had been welcomed to the meeting the chairs were taken by the Grand Master and Bro. Boyce. The District Secretary then gave the lodge an interesting and instructive, address on Lodge matters, dealing with both the financial and social side of Lodge work. And his remarks were ably supported by the Grand Master and Bro. Boyce. An interesting discussion then took place on different points brought up by Bro. Cannvnn's address, various officers ami brothers taking part. After business was concluded an adjournment was made to Beattie's refreshment rooms, where the visitors were entertained at supper, after which the visitors left for Motueka.
