The lecturer was emphasising the demoralising effect of divorce. "Love," he said, "is a quasi ; a proposal, a request: the giving of a daughters hand in marriage, a bequest, ami marriage itself the conquest, But what is divorce?" Voice from the audience: "The inquest."
