MOTOR COLLISION

THREE MEN INJURED (United Press Association! MARTON, 3rd February. A serious inotor collision, involving severe injuries to James Turner, Jack Cooper, and Reginald Cook, three employees of the Colonial Sales Co., Auckland. occurred at the intersection of the borough north boundary lasi night. A small car driven by 11. ,1. Thompson was proceeding along the mam street. Mr Thompson observed another car coining out of a side road, and lie slowed up. The other vehicle careered across at great speed, leaving a, cloud of dust-. Simultaneously, a third car, driven by A. Forrio, of Auckland, came from the direction in which the second car had gone, and crashed into the first car, causing it- to swing completely round. Mr Thompson had a remarkable escape, hut Forno’s car went on for about twenty yards and then somersaulted, pinning the five occupants beneath. The three men named were found to he severely injured, and were conveyed to hospital. For no and Stanley Hoithouse escaped with minor bruises. Their car was almost, totally wrecked.
