This Day “Your language is that of a drunken young blackguard,” said Mr Salmon, S.M., when imposing a sentence of three months’ imprisonment on James Sydney Cody, aged 27, who created a disturbance at a dance at the Early Settlers’ Hall -in an altercation with the doorkeeper, who suspected Cody of giving a passrr.it check to a friend outside. It was stated hv the police that Cody had been four times before the court last year for fraud and theft, and as an idle and disorderly person.
