The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated 13th January, 1928, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follows: ;■ New Zealand Wethers arid Maidens.— Canterbury quality, selected brands: Qld season, 56/under 6£d per lb, 57/64 6id, 65/72 s§d;• other' brands, new sealson, 56/under 6|d, 57/64 6|d, 65/72 sfaC New Zealand ewes, old season, 64-under 4Jd. New Zealand lambs, selected brands, ncy( season, 36/under ll|d, 37/42 ll£d; other brands, 2nd quality, new 'season, 30/32 aveiAge lOd. New Zealand beef.—Ox fores 3fd, hinds' sd; cbwfares3£'d, hinds 4d. - Frozen pork.—Porkers, 60/80 lbs 7?d, 81/99 lbs 7£'d, 100/120 lbs 6f d; baconers 121/180 lbs 6£d. ‘ • Lamb market.—Unchanged. Mutton market.—Heavyweights weaker ; others steady. Frozen pork.—There is a fair demand for porkers, but supplies Home-killed still heavy. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 13th inst.; Tho following vessels in which we are interested have arrived in time for the pales commencing on the 17th inst. Mataroa, Pakeha, Ruakehu, and Coririthic.
