Accused was,4sked at the time to .collect Moore’s pay for him. He . did so, and absconded. . He was’ arrested at Lyttelton last week.
The defence was drunkenness at time of the offence. Probation ' was granted fnr twelve months, MeGifford to pay costs, fur, previous good recolll being taken into consideration.
