Dr. Reakcs, chief of the New Zealand agricultural service, is leaving for South Africa to-day, thence homewards after inquiring into agricultural questions of interest to New Zealand.,
Since tho Agricultural Conference Dr. Roakes has visited the most important research stations, and also given attention to the study of animal diseases, particularly with reference to dairy cows. He is gratified with the personal contact established with agricultural, and veterinary scientists of the United Kingdom.
