Richmond beat Wakatu by 15 runs on the first innings, thereby gaining a 2 point win. Wakatu batted first making 59—Large 18. Richmond .in the first innings made 74—Satherbv 13, Harford 15, Fowler 14.

In the second innings Wakatu ran up a total of 120, Carrie batting brigWly for 32, and Kelly, who probably has the best style of any junior in Nelson, made 32 not out. Large 22-was the next best score..
