STRIKING SEAMEN RUSH TO RESUME WORK (By Eloctrio Telegraph-Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) SYDNEY, 13th Jan. Yesterday seamen rushed ■ the,. Shipping Masters' Office, anxious to resume work on the strike-affected ships, and the companies announced <i long list immediately mf inter-state sailings. The seamen still hope that the owners will not only agree, to a conference, but will meet the men half way in a settlement of the differences regarding tho holding of irregular stopwork meetings. GENERAL RESUMPTION (Received 14th Jan., 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day There has been a general resumption of work by seamen at all parts except Melbourne, wTtere it is stated no official report was received from the headquarters of tho union Some vessels will be idle for some time yet. All cargo vessels were manned immediately.
