In his address to the Grand Jury iiis Honour said there were only four cases to be dealt with and he did not think there would be much difficulty in disposing of them. He would first refer to the theft charges against Vincent James Crequer, involving a sum of over £2OOO. His Honour then briefly summarised the evidence given in the Lower Court. So far as the informations laid by C. R. Fell, W. 11. Mackay, 11. R. Duncan and R. Watson were concerned, Crequer bad given a definite undertaking, to remit the moneys to his principals in and the evidence showed that this bacl not been done. So far as these charges were concerned, it seemed quite clear that a true bill should be found. In the other cases no definite undertaking to remit had *been given; but it was for the jury to say whether a prima facie case had been made out. His Honour then outlined the charges against Charles Hogg, involving assault and theft; against Gerald Swanson, charged with an indeednt act with intent to offend; and that against Arthur Lewis Sclioder for breaking and entering and theft. The Grand Jury then retired. TRUE BILLS
True hills were returned against Vincent James Crequer; Charles Hogg; Arthur Lewis Schroder; and Gerald Swanson.
