In the Sheffield Shield cricket match, Victoria lias lost eight wickets for 646 runs—Ryder 70, Hendry 168, Senile 28, Hartkopf 111 not out, Blackie 55. The weather was fine and the wicket good for the second day’s play. T'he Victorian Latsn;en held pos-f session of the wicket providing the South Australians with a day’s leather hunting, and piling up a mighty score. Ryder gave a brilliant display of hilling, his partnership with Hendry adding 146 for the third wicket, Scaife, a young batsman, shaped well in making hip score. Hartkopf pleased the spectators with his forceful hitting, and while in association with Blackie 140 runs were added to the total. Excepting Crimmett, who managed to keep runs down, the visitors made all the bowling appear easy. SYDNEY"GRAD# PLAY SYDNEY, 4th Dec. For the grade cricket the weather was fine but the wickets somewhat dead as the. result of recent rain, and scoring generally was not high. For Northern Districts against Randwick Loder made 102 runs (not out); for Rnndwick McGrath made 89 riot out. For North -Sydney against Western Suburbs Smith made 88 (not out). . For Glebe against Cumberland Ratcliffe made 68 not out. For Gordon against Balmain 'Macartney made 56 and Sullivan 66 (not out). For Petersham against University Langsworth made 81. Bowling for Mosman against Manly Bassett took six wickets for 103 runs. For Petorshaw Andrews took five for 44: Lambert four for 39. For North Sydney Westwood took four for 28. M.C.C.
