COMPLIMENT TO NELSON

Mr R. W. Shallcrass, of Wellington, has been the recipient of a book descriptive of the tour of the British bowlers throughout Australia; and New Zealand. A complete list of every match played is included. It will be particularly satisfactory to Nelson bowlers to learn that the Nelson green is the only one of all the New Zealand greens given a full page picture in the book. The compiler, Mr Ivor B. Thomas (Wales) vice-captain, in a concluding passage, says: "We were sorry as usual to leave our kind hosts, who under the presi" dency of Mr Wilkinson, had been indefatigable in their efforts to make our stay enjoyable."
