SCHOOL CONCERT (From a Correspondent.) To assisit us in our struggles to obtain enough money for a. school piano, the Brightwater Concert Party kindly consented to journey over and deliver gratis a programme in the local hail. An interesting and varied list of items was presented, and if tlie amount, of applause wasi any criterion those itdms : were thoroughly enjoyed. The attendance could not by any means be ranked with a "capacity house," owing no doubt to the steady drizzle which set in about the time of commencement.

The programme presented was: "Valencia", "Omaha", "Runaway Train" (comic), "Lovetime", "That Certain Party", "Riviera", "Coral Sands'', "Moonlight and Roses" all by the company ; solo, Mrs Hill; recitation, Ruth Andrews; "Red Red Robin", Miss Jean Holcroft and chorus; solo, Mr Gayson; "Sympathy," Mrs Eyles and Mr Gayson; solo, Mr Best; "Any Ice", Mrs Eylesi, Mr Smith and chorus; duet, Miami Mrs Hill; solo, Mrs Eyles; "Blackbird" Mr Best and chorus. ' At the close of the concert the chairman (Mr T. Hales-Strahan) thanked the company for their willing spirit and their great generosity in coming to this place and assisting in furthering our aims in the direction of a school piano. Auld Lang Syne and God Save the jiing ended a splendid evening. Mr Gayson, on behalf of the company, thanked the audience for their appreciation of the programme. He also thanked the ladies for providing an excellent supper.
