BEAUTIFUL RED SPY
POSED AS DUCHESS SPEAKS NINE LANGUAGES • A woman calling herself Alexandra Romanowa, and claiming to ho a Russian Grand Duchess, who was arrested at Budapest, has been proved by the Hungarian police to be .the widow of a Russian doctor named Kletschevitsch. The widow, who is both clever' and beautiful, was convicted in 1915 of espionage, against Austria, and sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. Afterwards slits came to Vienna, where she was imprisoned for theft. After her relcaso she served Iho Communist Government, .which was then in power in Budapest, doing duty as a hospital nurse and collecting war prisoners’ confidences. She was ablo to do this as sho speaks nine languages fluently. Since then she had organised an espionage service at Vienna for the Bolsheviks, and it is believed that her report caused the Soviet Minister’s recall recently. She has made several journeys t-o Moscow with a Soviet secret * service agent, Balmoyski.
