JURY FAIL TO AGREE (United Press Association} \ NEW PLYMOUTH, Ist December. .The jury were unable to agree on fifteen ■ out of twenty-three charges of'misappropriation of funds belonging to the Taranaki Hospital Board preferred against T.- H. H. Sinclair, a welt-known resident of Opunake, who took a prominent part in public, affairs and who was a member of the Hospital secretary of the Opunake Cottage Hospital Committee. A retrial was ordered by Mr Justice Ostler for the next-session. •

The. amount involved in the twentythree charges .was. £l6B 2s 6d, but .four .charges were withdrawn, and on four a verdict of not guilty was returned.- The accused paid all the money back, and. the ■ defence was forgetfulness and „muddlement.
