FORGERY ADMITTED
(United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Ist December Richard Thomas Douglas Cook (22) pleaded guilty in the Police Court today to forgery of a credit- nole on the Lank of Now South Wales for £5449 with the intention that it should he acted’upon as genuine; also with forging a promissory note for £4O. Evidence was given hv a. hotel broker that l!ie accused introduced himself as a publican from Sydney, saying that he wanted to buy a hotel. lie paid a deposit- of J 35 on nil Auckland hotel* The. accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
