BRITAIN NOT TAKING HER SHARE

LONDON, 1 1st December. At a meeting of the Unionist Agricultural Committee, 150 Commoners appointed a deputation to urge the Government to utilise the agreed share of 02 per 1 cent, of phosphates from Nauru and Ocean Islands under the 1920 agreement. They suggested that Britain, Australia and New Zealand should in-, struct the Commissioners to ascertain the lowest f.o.b. price. It was calculated that the annual output is a million tons. Commoner Harold Briggs, the organiser, states that he is amazed to discover that Britain took no share. Many British superphosphate manufacturers were relinquishing owing to lack of cheap material while farmers urgently needed cheaper fertilisers.
