In a two column review tlie “Daily Telegraph” urges that it would he the height of folly for the Empire to encourage the beam! to the detriment of efficient maintenance of cables. It passes en route to Australia over tracts of European and Asiatic territory where it would he. most- simple, for hcßtile governments to establish inexpensive beam stations and jam signals without interfering with their own signals which were concentrated on another objective.
