A PROPOSAL SUPPORTED
(To the Editor) Sir, —With the utmost heartiness and with great cheerfulness of spirit I beg to second the proposition so ably put forward by “Pleuro” that a letter of grateful thanks be prepared, signed, and dispatched to ex-A Merman Surrell (now of Sydney). He is helping to put Nelson “on the map” and the very least we can do is to encourage him in this endeavour for all wo are worth. Over in Sydney lie, doubtless, will encounter much crass ignorance regarding our little city, but his eloquence should bo equal to the occasion. Ret 11s back him up, ancl so in some little measure make up for past unappreciative remissness. There is such a thing as entertaining great men (as well as angels) unawares.—-I am, etc., , “TRUE BLUE.” Nelson, 30th Nov.
