MRS CHILTON
A PLUNKET FAREWELL

CHRISTCHURCn, This Day. The committee of the Papanui subbranch of the Plunket SocTfety gathered in St. Paul’s schoolroom to bid farewell to Mrs Chilton before she leaves for Nelson. Airs 11. R. Smith received the visitors and spoke of the regret felt by all in bidding farewell to Mrs Chilton, who had always taken a kindly interest in the progress of the sub-branches. She hoped that Mrs Chilton might have a happy time in her new home in Nelson and that she would pay frequent visits to Christchurch and never forget her “foster daughters,” the sub-branches. Airs Chilton said that she would certainly not forget any of the workers.' She spoke appreciatively of the work done by the Papanui sub-branch.
