The closing of the two streets flanking the Secretariat and the presence of a police pilot car ahead of that containing Litvinoff, his English wife, and two colleagues, were the only outward signs of special measures to protectthe Soviet trio who have come virtually to tell the rest of the world to get ou with the job, and to show it how it, can be done".
