' ABRIDGED PROSPECTUS THE MAJESTIC THEATRE COMPANY (NELSON) LIMITED Intended to be Incorporated under “THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.” Capital: £20,000 in 20,000 £1 Shares. 13,700 are offered for subscription on terms 2/G per Share on application, 2/G per Share on allotment, and balance in calls not exceeding 2/G per Share, at intervals of not less than one month. The Company will not be registered unless 10,000 Shares are taken up. ' ■ Objects: To acquire the property owned by the Nelson Theatre Co., Ltd., and erect thereon a modern Theatre suitable for every class of theatrical entertainment. A provisional agreement entered into between the Nelson Theatre C'o., Ltd., New Zaland Picture Supplies Ltd., and Richard Pugh Evans as Trustee for the new Company, which may be seen at the Solicitors office, provides that N.Z. Picture Supplies Ltd., has to lease the Theatre cn completion, and the property as a whole, for a period of twenty years at a rental which will permit the Company to pay a dividend of seven per centum free of income tax. This dividened will be payable. from the very beginning of the Company’s existence. The Theatre will be available, on reasonable terms, for the use of visiting companies whenever required, and for local entertainments from Monday to Friday. The purchase price of the property to be acquired is £9995 and was fixed by valuation. The Vendor Company has agreed to accept fully paid up Shares for the whole of its equity i ntlie property ( £0295). The estimated cost, of building, furnishing and equipping tiie Theatre is £IB,OOO, and of the whole undertaking £29,795. There will be four Directors, one appointed by the holders of the fully paid up Shares allotted to the Vendor Company, and three by the other Shareholders.
