SMUGGLED INTO GERMANY
FRENCH AND SPANISH WINES (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) PARIS, 29th November. French Customs detectives discovered that French and Spanish wines were being smuggled to Germany by the train load. The wine was contained in kegs, then placed in tank cars, filled up as industrial alcohol, and passed j\s such by th 3 Customs, It is believed that the practice -has been carried out for three years and that £1,000,000 worth had been smuggled.
