"EAT MORE FRUIT"
Fruit is a most essential food factor. It contains the mineral salts of potassium sodium, calcium, etc., besides levuloso (fruit sugar), and citric, tartaric and malic acid, with the addition of iron and phosphorus -in many fruits. In this country we are fortunate, because ripe fruit can he obtained all .the year round. South Africa can supply us with apricots, peaches, oranges, and grape fruit; Australia and Tasmania with apples and other fruit; and the West, Indies can send us all the bananas required. Grape fruit is of the greatest value as a dietetic health food. ""The old saying, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away," can certainly be applied to tlio grape fruit. The dear rosy colour it gives to the face is far more, attractive and nicer to view than all ,tho cosmetic stuff used by the average girl. It contains in full quantities the' valuable socalled vitamin Li, which prevents scurvy, rough and pimply skin, and so oil. Grape fruit should be eaten early .in the morning, or as a substitute with milk for afternoon tea.
