'A meeting of the executive of JHa Murchison A., and P. Association was held in the Council Chambers on Friday evening. There \vas an excellent .attendance, Mr T. Moref (president) occupying the chair. The president spoke re the loss sustained by Mr J. Shea, a member of the association, and it was decided that he be/written to conveying the sympathy of the members. . Donations were received from Mrs G, C. With regard to the annual ball on the night of the show, it was decided that it should be run as usual, even though itwould mean closing- at 12 o’clock. It was resolved that a ball committee he appointed. This committee was constituted as follows:—Messrs Morris,Sorensen, H. Milligan, J. C. McLaren, W. Borkin, W. Spiers, S. Borkin, J. Armstrong, C. Watson, G. , Wvllie, J. Pownie. ■' The proof of the schedule was then dealt with and several alterations were made. , Mr Bait donated a bridle for the best ,boy or girl’s pony, (14.2 hands) ridden by bov or .girl under 14 years of age class. i . It was decided that Mr Francis s trophy to value of 5 guineas be allotted to most points in dairy cows and heifers irrespective of breed. It was resolved that the two classes 106 and 107' (fat lambs) be eligible for entry in class 108 for the Freezing Co. s prize of a half ton of manure. It, was decided that a class of large whites be included in the pig section. Prizes for the large whites will be the same as in the other classes. It was' decided that the date for the closing of eptfies be 25th February.
