LIVELY SCENES

IN NEW SOUTH WALES CHAMBER INTERJECTORS RBMOVED (By Eleotrio Telegraph-Copyright) , (Australian & N.Z. Oable Association)

SYDNEY,- Bth November. There was an extraordinary scene in Parliament when the Assembly met. A group of unemployed shouted from the gallery asking for work, and the proceedings were held up while the police removed them. The scene led to a heated debate in the Chamber, during which a number of women interjected from the ladies’ gallery. General uproar followed and the interjectors were removed by Sergeant-at-Arms. Apparently it was an organised disturbance. SITTING HOURS ALTERED (Received 9th November, 11.44 a.m.) * SYDNEY, This Day. The Assembly decided to resume afternoon and night sitting only, the hours to be 2.30 to 11 p.m., except Fridays when they will be 2 to 6 p.m.
