POLAND’S REPLY
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MURDER DISCLAIMED (Received 10th June, 11.10 a.m.) WARSAW, 911). June. The Government's reply to the Soviet is most conciliatory. It disclaims responsibility for the murder and points out that Voißoff repeatedly refused police protection on the grounds that ne had nothing to fear, as it was well known, he was a friend of Poland. The reply assents to the Russian demand for representation at the trial of Kowerda, but only as representative of the widow, whom Poland is prepared to compensate.
