The most important fixture so far in which Nelson will be engaged is that against the touring Canadian team at Trafalgar I'ark to-morrow afternoon. The visitors arrived from lileiilieini this afternoon, and at 5 o'clock were accorded a civic reception at the Municipal Chambers. '

SOMETHING ABOUT THE VISITORS The following brief sketches of the visiting players should prove of interest: —

Alderman James Adam, of the City of Vancouver, 8.C., manager of the Canadian team, has been associated with iSoccer in the Province of British Columbia, both as player and official for 35 years, and as a centre-forward his equal lias never been seen in that province. He has been a member of the Dominion Association Council for five years, and is an ex-president

of the British Columbia and Victoria, Football Associations. He managed the Canadian team which visited Australia, two seasons ago, and played in Auckland on the return trip. Alderman Adam, who is regarded as a born organiser, will be accompanied on the tour by Mrs Adam. Malcolm Moon is a Scottish youth, who migrated to Canada three years ago. He soon caught the eye of provincial and Dominion Soccer officials, and was selected for several representative matches. Henry ("Hank") Noseworthy, a fullback by preference and a goalkeeper by .accident, of the Cure tool Club, Mou-' treal, is the only member of the Canadian team who was with the team from the land of the Maple Leaf which toured Australia two seasons ago. In -Montreal he was eagerly sought by leading elubs as a goalkeeper, and after playing one season with Verdun City in the Montreal League joined Carstcel Club of the National League. Only 20 years of age, ho stands 6ft. lin. in height. Born in Newfoundland, the island colony which adjoins Canada, Noseworthy went to Montreal with his parents when a youug boy. Stanley Tait,' a representative of British Columbia, was born in Nanaimo 21 years ago, and is recognised as the finest custodian in the province and one of the best in Canada. The fact that he only allowed two goals in nine games in the opening of the present Canadian season is a record which speaks for itself. Duncan M. Graham, of Port Arthur War Vets, was chosen because of his ability to play in many positions. Graham .is a first-class back or half-back arid an all-round athletic. Ernie Edmunds is one of the outstanding full-backs of Soccer in British Columbia, lie is "2.") years of age. A tearless tackier with plenty of dash and a tremendous kick, and with a. weight of list. 111 b. and a height'of Sfl, Oin., is a typo of player'who sjiould appeal to New Zealand Soccer enthusiasts. He played in two games against the English touring team'and should be one of the stars of the Canadian team.

Don Archibald, speedy and possessing a tremendous shot with cither foot, he has been a prolific scorer in League and Cup gamefc in Vancouver; - and he will cause New Zealand goalies lots oi trouble before the tour is over. D. Thompson is a member of St. James F.C., pjaying under the Manitoba Provincial Association. Versatile at half-back or inside-forward be played a great game during the 1925-26 season, and,was selected to play against the British team which toured Canada last

F. Crawley, of Bell Telephone F.C., Turonto, is an experienced full-back or centre-forward, 27 years of age and.has played in Old England with such teams as Aecriugton Stanley, Blackburn'Rovers, and Lincoln City. Turner, of Ulster United' Toronto, is one of the cleverest forwards in. the Ulster forward line, and for the last two seasons has put up a great display. A good tactician, he plays a. clean game, and is a popular favourite with flic crowd.
