PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO TAKE SOLE CONTROL (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. To avoid eonfusioft. the Government has decided thai the Public Works Department shall control the whole of the laws dealing with motor vehicles. Regulations were drafted some time ago, but the issue was delayed while they were being submitted to local authorities and others. Alterations were suggested ami a further delay caused. Af. ter n conference by U*e Department concerned, the present decision was arrived at. Both (he Department of Internal Affairs and the Post Office did part of the work, but it will now be concentrated on the Public Works Department.
