The year 1926 (says a writer in a Canadian paper) has proved the world over to be a record-breaking year in motor production. ' The number of cars registered in the world has increased to 27,507,967. The United States has set a new record in production and in car ownership. The registrations in 1926 increased 11 per cent, over 1925, and brought the number of motor vehicles .owned up to one for every 5.4 persons in that country. Canada stands next, with registrations of approximately one for every eleven people in Canada Great Britain, while showing a marked increase in ownership, lias still only one vehicle for each 45.6 people, and other countries outside of Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, are as yet motorised much less than Great Britain. This comparison suggests the possibility of still further expansion in export trade.
