DESTRUCTIVE FIRE (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) NEW YORK, sth June. At Montgomery, Alabama, firemen dynamited city blocks, stopping a fire, after two million dollars worth of damage had been done. The fire started in a rubbish dump and swept the wholesale district. The explosion saved the largest hotel and big powder deposits in the Loeb building, which if ignited would have wrecked tho citv.
