COLLISION AT CROSSING
ENGINE AND TRAIN TRAILER (United Press Association) . CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Fifty people had a narrow escape from injury when a locomotive collided with a tram trailer on the Colombo street crossing this morning. The trailer was pushed off the rails and . the windows were smashed, but no one was badly hurt, though several people received bruises. The damage was caused by a shunting locomotive, and the railway people say that the signals were not properly observed.
