The match in which the New Zealand team is engaged at Portsmouth ?s comparatively unimportant, no first class players being engaged on the Navy side. hartley alone saved the Navy from complete "disaster. Blunt varied his pitch and flight cleverly and then with Mills lie gave the visitors a,'good start with 81 lor the first wicket.
